The Art of René Campbell

Artist(s) Drawing
The general art blog of René Campbell, a 20 year-old female currently residing in a little city in South Australia called Adelaide. I study Marine Biology by day, work as a bartender by night, and draw everywhere and anywhere inbetween!

I post my finished pieces of artwork and drawings, sketches, works in progress, photography and thoughts. I will also tend to reblog things that inspire me or what I enjoy. If you want to see nothing but my artwork, you can find it here or through the links below.
NOTE: I do not take commissions at this time and most certainly do not take art requests. Thankyou.

Not too long until it’s done. Again, a really poor quality photograph; I need a larger scanner.
Continuing to add colour and shade, and increased the contrast a little bit by adding in some ball point detail.
I started shading the hands. Oh yeah, and that’s the Emperor and Tie Fighters chilling out in the BG, of course they still need to be rendered.
Another update, I apologise for the terrible quality photo.
Current work in progress; it’s good to use pencil again. I’m just laying down the base colours and shadows. All the details, blending, colours and further shadows and highlights will be refined after this stage.
Just messing around in Photoshop to loosen up. Probably about half way through this sketch. Excuse the dark shadows; I haven’t gone over them yet!

15-20 minute sketch done with ballpoints and markers. Nothing big or fancy.
Decided to finally continue on with this commission. Still a while to go but my motivation for it is really poor.

So I was close to being finished until I realised I had to resize the whole thing and now go back over the details.Okay, it shouldn’t be that much longer!
Finally got to draw some more of it today. Not long now, I promise.
